Forward Party California is excited to announce its membership in the ProRep Coalition, a coalition of organizations and alternative parties in California that advocate for proportional representation in the state's electoral system.

We believe in the spirit of experimentation and research when it comes to both voting and electoral reform, and we see proportional representation as one of many possible solutions for electoral reform worth investing time, research, and willpower in.

As an organization committed to promoting innovative solutions and fostering collaboration, Forward Party CA recognizes the importance of exploring various approaches to electoral reform. While proportional representation may not be a one-size-fits-all solution at every level of government, we support the principles of fairness, inclusivity, and representation that underpin the ProRep movement. We also support local, state, and federal initiatives aimed at exploring, researching, and implementing improvements to our current plurality, or “first-past-the-post”, voting system. Together, electoral and voting reform can give our democracy the modernization that we deserve.

By joining the ProRep Coalition, Forward Party CA aims to build strong relationships and collaborate with like-minded organizations and parties to advance the cause of electoral reform in California. We believe that by working together, we can accelerate progress towards a more equitable and representative electoral system that better serves the needs of all Californians.
