Cynthia is a creative with a professional background in art, user experience (UX) design, education, and psychology. Growing up in a low-income, Burmese immigrant community, she did not identify with any political parties and aligned herself more to her family's principles, such as kindness, hard work, and freedom.

The 2016 Bernie Sanders campaign first piqued her interest in politics, and the 2020 Andrew Yang campaign immediately compelled her to participate in the field. She had always been committed to building a healthier future for all, but it was bold ideas—like universal basic income and measuring success through human wellness—that showed her there are achievable paths forward. Now, Cynthia volunteers as Forward Party of California's Secretary, as well as a lead in the Communications and Messaging Committee.
